Has it REALLY been since APRIL that I last published a post?!! yikes
WELL, things have changed a bit to say the least...I'm back to teaching FULL-TIME, my boys are OLD enough to already be going to school (hard to believe!), and Greg continues to keep himself busy at the bank!! THAT IS OUR LIFE IN A NUTSHELL. ;)
Okay, you probably want details:
I got offered a Kindergarten position back in July, about 3 weeks before school was to start!! It is absolutely amazing how things work out...so, the boys&I put in a lot of time preparing my classroom for 20 kindergarteners! The transition was pretty smooth- going from stay-at-home mom(for 5 years!) to professional. The boys go with me to school, Jacob is in Pre-K and Ryan is in Preschool. We are VERY, VERY fortunate to have such a wonderful full-day preschool program for the boys! -and, the best part, they are just a hallway away from me!! It is WONDERFUL! I get to enjoy boppin in&out of their classrooms, having lunch, etc. with them. THE ARE RIGHT THERE with me!
Hard to believe Christmas is 15 days away! Our lives will continue to be busy, crazy, and fun!

Yeh, it's FRIDAY!! It has been a wild&crazy week...and, am GLAD it is FINALLY Friday!
Yesterday the boys & I spent the ENTIRE day outside! It was awesome!! I washed my truck, and the boys thought they needed to wash their bikes, lawn mowers, etc.! -it was pretty cute. I had a little night out and attended a jewelry party. That was fun, of course, I just couldn't decide on what to buy...sooo many cute things!
Today we've got a busy day...JT has pre-school this afternoon and Ryan gets to go play with his buddies Anna & Ethan! I just can't believe how big my boys are getting!!!
Well, I s'pose I better finish my cleaning and then its off to take JT to school!

Okay...I am HORRIBLE at updating this! I get involved in all these fun little blogs, fb, email, etc. and don't maintain like I should! Sooo, it has been 6 months since my last blog. A lot has happened since October...where do I begin?! Alright, I'm just going to start with today-- Lord knows how long this blog would be if I started way back from October!!
The boys(Greg included) and I are doing great. Really enjoying this warm weather!! The boys just love to run and play outside. Yesterday we did yard work and the boys & I dug for worms! It is so funny because JT is so into digging and holding the worms, making a house for them, etc. AND, my Mr. Ryan DOES NOT like to touch the worms! cRaZy because I would expect the complete opposite of my boys??? hum
Anyhow, it is warming up outside and my boys are begging to go play! So, until next time... hehe!

That's right! We went to the JEWEL concert at the Orpheum in Sioux City. We started the night by going to dinner with our friends, Jeremy&Kris, and then off
to the concert. I went into the concert knowing who Jewel was, could hum a verse or 2 of a couple of her songs--BUT! -once the concert was over, I left a HUGE fan of hers, wanting to buy a Jewel t-shirt, Cds,etc!! She was unBElieveable!! Greg, too really enjoyed it! It was just Jewel, mic, and guitar! I had goosebumps the ENTIRE concert!! We would definitely see her again.

WELL, it is MUCH overdue!! It has been about a MONTH now since my last update!! --umm, so much for my "update weekly". WOWSERS!! AnYhOw, I do believe that it is better LATE than NEVER, RIGHT?!! Ok, so here are a couple pics from our annual Halloween Costume party...my hubby was, Michael Phelps and I was a ref! We had just under 40 of our friends join us for the fun!! The night started with a keg, great food and FLIP-CUP...the fun lasted until 3 am. SLLLLLOOOOW moving the next day! --a little tired!

Surprise! ...is right!! My mom, sisters, and I threw a "SURPRISE" 50th birthday bash for my dad. It was awesome, as he had NO IDEA!! I just can't believe us girls actually pulled this off-- because for those of you that know my dad, he figures out everything!
After the very late night of celebrating with my dads family & friends...we had a birthday party for Alexis! The boys were SO very excited for Alexis and enjoyed popsicles with their cousins. Alexis was the last of the "triplets" to turn two. (2 of my sisters, Heidi&Amy Jo, were prego at the same time I was...it went my Ryan in May, Heidi's Luke in July, and Amy's Alexis in September!) The boys ran around with their cousins, while the son-in-laws helped my dad with a boat hoist. The guys enjoyed their "man" time, while us girls talked about our kiddos & the diferent things that they are interested in. Well, it was time for us to pack-up & head for SC...needless to say it was a VERY quiet drive home-- the boys were tired from the very eventful weekend!
Once we got home, Greg & I had to quickly hurry up to get to our next function...I am on the Parish Council and part of the "welcoming" committee for my church and we were having a "Newlywed" get together. It was so much fun!! We thought it would be a great idea to get those couples that had recently gotten married/engaged together. We all met up at the ElFredo's pizza(yum!) and enjoyed pizza& beer, while meeting couples around our age! I hope this continues to be a success...we all seemed to enjoy ourselves.
OH MY GOODNESS...it was a MUCH needed FUN-filled weekend after the week we had last week!! My Jacob got hurt so bad last week that I had to call 911!! He was out front with me and our dog, and the dog accidently flipped Jacob up in the air on back down on his bottom! (Deuce, our dog, was on his leash and caught site of a cat across the road, he tore off for it but got stopped by the leash(which Jacob was standing in FRONT of), well he broke the leash from his force, which hit Jacob in the back of the legs & flipped him...well, from that trauma, Jacob's body responded by going into a "seizure" like position! UNCONSCIOUS I ran inside with him in my arms, Jacob NOT responding to me and dialed 911! Once they got to our house(about 3 1/2 minutes later) he was starting to wake-up...I was home by myself!! Long story, short: he ended up to be fine, we had a follow-up with his doctor the next day. He diagnosed him with syncope-- he says anytime something happens TRAUMATIC his body is going to freeze up. Can U believe that?! SO, Dr. Amir refreshed me locating JT's pulse, "look, listen, feel" his breaths. TOO SCARY! AND, we ended the week by taking Ryan to the ER late Thursday night because of a 104.2 temp!! --ended up being an ear infection!! SO! Well, I am glad we all had a nice weekend, as it was much NEEDED!!

OKAY...so, I'm 2 weeks overdue on the BLOG! -I'm improving though-- as it is not a MONTH later that I published a post. AnYhOw here's the sCoOp:
Two Saturdays ago, I wake-up to a little finger tapping on my shoulder...as I open my eyes, there stands ToyStory's, WOODY COWBOY(aka Jacob), in FULL costume! He says, "SO, mom! What do you think?" How stinkin' cute is that?!! We've got some time before Halloween...Jacob is just "practicing" his character!! haha Well, we ended up putting that costume up in the closet and will save it until Halloween night...for now, he chooses to put his "Dash" costume on and WEARS it EVERYDAY. We were out running errands last week, and I had "Dash" aka Jacob helping me get my things done-- IN FULL COSTUME! -I'm talking from head to toe! CuTe, CuTe!! Ryan chooses to have his tennis shoes on and a baseball hat!

TODAY(Sunday) we had our Parish Picnic. Our family enjoyed conversing with other parishioners, but the HIGHLIGHT was riding on the ponies!! Jacob saddled-up with no problem(actually we were surprised!) and Ryan got on, but wanted RIGHT BACK OFF as soon as the pony moved! (usually it is quite the opposite, Jacob doesn't care to do things like that, but Ryan LOVES it!)
It is way past my bedtime and I know there is MORE I wanted to share, but can't think of it right now. -I might just have to add it to next weeks.

I can't believe I haven't shared the news...YES! My Ryan is potty-trained! He has been working on this for quite some time(since he was about 1 1/2 yrs old), but just wasn't fully ready...until NOW!
We went camping a few weeks ago and thats when he took-off with the NO DIAPERS! --it was great because he could go potty whenever he wanted...there were TREES EVERYWHERE!
SO! Welcome to the world big boy underoos!! It is just too cute to see him in his little, "Batman, Superman, Thomas the Train, etc." underoos. His big brother is also very proud, as he tells EVERYONE!! "You know my brother Ryan, he's potty-trained!"

SDSU Football Game...Ames, Iowa
WELL, I see it has been a MONTH since my last post!! WOW!!
I will TRY to do much better on updating our blog...maybe I will try the ONCE a week update?!
ANYHOW, a lot has happened in a month...(quick overview) we took the boys to the Woodbury County Fair, had a family get together/pool party, many POOL parties with our SC friends, camping trip, and the start of MANY football games. This past weekend we drove to Ames, Iowa to watch my cousin, Derek play against IOWA STATE. Derek is a Linebacker for South Dakota State(Brookings, SD). Jacob&Ryan, of course, were sporting the blue&gold t-shirts; custom made!! :) They were SOOO excited to watch DEREK play football...GO JACKS! WE started off by tail-gating with family members--the boys thought it was pretty cool to have all kinds of "JACOB/RYAN" -friendly snacks in the back of their Papa&Nana's truck!! OHHH, but tail-gating is so much MORE DIFFERENT when you have your kiddos with you. haha We did our best in trying to keep things "G" rated!! We had LOTS of crazy IOWA STATE fans around us...and, I found myself saying to Greg, "Look at those kids!" Ummm, yeh, I was talking about the college peeps! AM I GETTING OLD?!!!
Once we finished eating all sorts of yummy food and slamming a few beers(remember the kiddos were with us...SO, NO! We DID NOT play "flip-cup" for those of you that were wondering!!) We trucked it all the way over to the stadium, admist, the IOWA STATE fans yelling as we passed by, "GO CYCLONES!" The boys were a little OVERWHELMED by all of the commotion! Unfortunately, SDSU lost, but we cheered our hardest and thought the "BIG D" had a pretty awesome game! (HE HAD THE FIRST TACKLE of the game!!-and, MANY more after that...) woohoo GO DEREK!! Greg was pretty INVOLVED in the ENTIRE game, as he had once played for SDSU! After the game, we waited to get pictures with Derek...the boys thought it was cool to see him!!!! --and, to be surrounded by all these BIG football players. I hope to get more pics posted on my blog...still trying to figure out this whole bloggin' thing! (BARE WITH ME)

Weekend in Brooklyn Park, MN...

Well, it has been way to BUSY...I have had ZERO time to update the blog--bare with me! haha
Our family spent the weekend in Brooklyn Park, MN with the HAUBER-side!! My cousin, Michelle got married! We all enjoyed the reception--( -Greg didn't stay long as he took the boys back to our hotel room, so I could enjoy visiting with family that I hadn't seen in a long time! ) After a night of dancing...we spent all day Saturday watching the kids play & swim. THEN we tucked the kiddos into bed and Greg&I introduced "Flip-cup" to the family...LET'S JUST SAY WE ALL SHARED LOTS OF LAUGHS!! We had a great weekend and it was wonderful to see everyone.

Today the boys and I spent the day in Sioux Falls.
We visited my niece, Abbie, who was in the hospital...she had her tonsils out.
The boys picked out different balloons and we made a balloon bouquet. Jacob
also colored pictures for Abbie-- "...because Mom, that will make her feel
better!" It was time for Miss Abbie to rest so we went shopping with Grandma
Jean!! -that was fun!
We hope Abbie gets well soon...
